This course provides GPs with theoretical knowledge on advanced dermatological surgery and procedures as well as how to manage surgical risk and complications in more critical situations. This course consists of six online topics:
Full thickness skin grafts
Split Thickness skin grafts
Principles of flap repairs
Regional closures
Surgical complications and treatments
Wedges
Webinars & Case Discussion Forum
Attend or watch online webinars and participate in open discussion on diagnosis and management direct with our expert Dermatologists.
Practice Scenarios
Respond to authentic clinical case studies and challenge yourself to provide a diagnosis and first-step management plan on the clinical information and dermoscopic images.
Assessment
Assessment for this course requires the satisfactory completion of topic based quizzes and practice scenarios, participation in the case discussion forum, submission of 1 case study and a final MCQ exam.
Required Hours
The course requires 30 study hours and you will have 16 weeks to complete your course from date of enrolment.

At the successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
Recall how to perform advanced dermatological surgery and procedures (including full thickness skin grafts, split thickness skin grafts, principles of flap repairs, and regional closures).
Determine the appropriate circumstances in which to perform advanced dermatological surgery and procedures.
Assess the risks and complications relating to advanced dermatological surgery and procedures.
Compare ways in which surgical risk may be managed.

This course is aimed at General Practitioners, Registrars and prevocational Doctors.
