Dr Kerry Crotty

Dr Kerry Crotty is both a pathologist and dermatologist. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, one of only a few persons to hold both Fellowships.
She has been a Senior Lecturer in the University of Sydney Pathology Department, a Pathologist in the Department of Anatomical Pathology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and at a Dermatopathologist at the Skin and Cancer Foundation and at Kossard Dermatopathologists. She did a Pathology Research Fellowship in the Dermatopathology Department, Massachusetts General Hospital at Harvard Medical School.
She has practised clinical dermatology at the Sydney Melanoma Unit, the Sydney Melanoma Diagnostic Centre and in country NSW. She has also established and led a boutique skin pathology practice, CPCPath.
Kerry was on the Board of the Australasian Dermatopathology Society for 25 years. She has been President and Secretary. She has been a convenor/co-convenor for five of their Annual Scientific Meetings from 1996 to 2021.
For several years she was the Dermatopathology Examiner for the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
She is the Lead Developer and Chief Examiner of the Post Fellowship Diploma in Dermatopathology for the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia.
She has published widely in the field of skin pathology and the diagnosis of melanoma and other skin cancers. She is a Co-author of “Dermoscopy: An Atlas”. Menzies S, Crotty K, Ingvar C, McCarthy W. This textbook is widely used by both Australian and overseas doctors in the diagnosis of melanoma and other skin cancers. Three editions have been published.
She has lectured both in Australia and overseas including as an invited speaker at the American Society of Dermatopathology Annual Meeting, the International Society of Dermatopathology Annual Meeting, the International Academy of Pathology International Conference and at several international Melanoma conferences.
In 2020 the Australasian College of Dermatologists awarded Kerry a “Certificate of Meritorious Service”.
