Dr Cathy Zhao is a Specialist Dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.

Cathy completed her medical degree and a Master of Science by research (with full Scholarship) from the University of NSW, in addition to a Master of Medicine from the University of Sydney.

Cathy was selected for an Oncodermatology research fellowship at Westmead Hospital, where she spent two years running the High-Risk Melanoma Clinic.

Cathy completed her four-year specialist dermatology training at Westmead Hospital, Westmead Children’s Hospital, Concord Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital, amongst others. Cathy had participated in various subspecialty dermatology clinics including Eczema clinic, Hidradenitis Suppurativa clinic, Severe Psoriasis clinic, Lymphoma clinic, Vulval clinic, Paediatric Dermatology clinic, Vitiligo clinic, Biologics clinic and Surgery clinic.

Cathy is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney. She has authored over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles, was invited to speak at international conferences, and has been an author of a few dermatology textbooks. She was nominated for Young Australian Woman of the Year for her dedication to teaching, research and community work.
