Dr Alexander Gin
MBBS, BMedSci, FACD
Dr Alexander Gin is a consultant dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
Alex completed his specialist training in Victoria and has worked at multiple tertiary hospitals including The Royal Melbourne Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital, The Royal Children’s Hospital and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Alex has two years’ experience working overseas in the United Kingdom, and completed a fellowship in Dermatology and Lymphovascular Medicine at St George’s Hospital in London. He is passionate about dermatology in the developing world and has spent time volunteering in Tanzania and Myanmar.
Alex was awarded the Herman Lawrence Prize in Clinical Dermatology. His research has been published in a number of medical journals, and presented at both national and international conferences.
In addition to his private practice, Alex works as a consultant dermatologist at The Alfred Hospital where he is involved in education of medical students and dermatology trainees. He is committed to lecturing at several GP training workshops.
